Concept C — SortMe AI asks. The profile questions are asked conversationally by SortMe AI in its existing chat surface, immediately after the account exists. Answers are tap-chips (age, living situation) or a typeahead (lender, provider) with a typed field only for money, a date and the invite. Each answer is confirmed back in plain English, so the "why" and the "what happens next" ride in the conversation. A "Change" action on the last answer restores the previous question and its branch. This is also the surface SCOPE.md names as the only backfill path for existing users (FR24).

• Branching is natural: the AI only asks about a mortgage after "own with a mortgage". "Something else" gets a short typed follow-up.
• Skip is a chip on every question; "I don't have a KiwiSaver" is a real negative answer.
• States rendered: home-value validation, the three invite errors. Not rendered: invitee and resume branches, materialisation.
• Trade-off: a chat is slower than a form, and the free composer's behaviour during the guided questions is undefined.
